Also I'm not a hero.I'd be a hero if I got a BMC team machine and road 4-5 hrs a day and raced on the weekend, yet sandbagged as a cat 3 :)
Nah, those are assholes (the BMC Team Machine types, not the sugar mammas). You definitely don't want to become one of those. Run what ya brung. Keep it real. Spend too much on the bike and you might forget what you're riding it for.
BTW, if I was gonna spend BMC money on a bike, I'd get a Parlee. Eff the corpo rides. Besides, Parlee has a lifetime warranty and I'm all about lifetime warranties.
lifetime warranties are good! uber spendy rides are bad... unless they're free.
